Care and Repairs
How to take good care of a jewellery piece:
- Silver should not be subjected to excessive force when putting it on, wearing or removing it (including catching the item on clothing).
- It’s recommended to remove jewellery before exercising, showering, swimming, bathing, sleeping, gardening etc. to prolong its longevity, especially plated jewellery, pearls and semi-precious stones. The items will lose their colour and luster.
- Minimize the risk of your jewellery coming into contact with perfumes, lotions and chemical cleaning agents, as these will cause it to dull or blacken. Silver will naturally oxidize over time, but can be cleaned using hot water and soft cloth.
- Pearls loose their luster over time if it comes in contact with perfumes and chemicals.
Re-string pearls regularly.
